
Allen Parish Library's Policies
Allen Parish Library's policies are designed to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for everyone who visits. These policies ensure that everyone can use library resources and materials without interruption. Additionally, the policies help to protect library property, including books, equipment, and furniture. All patrons are expected to follow the rules and regulations of the library, as well as any local or state laws. Failure to abide by these policies may result in the suspension of library privileges or other disciplinary action. The library staff is available to answer any questions or help patrons understand the policies.
Policies
This policy is to comply with the statutory mandates outlined in La. R. S. 14:91:2 which became effective on January 1, 2013. The purpose of this policy is to ensure that the libraries comply with Louisiana Act 693 which excluded registered sex offenders convicted of offenses against minors from public libraries. APL has developed this policy to balance the Library's service of supplying information with the need to monitor and retrieve Library materials so they are available for others. Please review and comply with our library policy.
